216 Technologies is a technology company founded by a team of African and American technologists and entrepreneurs. The company was established through a trans-Atlantic partnership to develop solutions to meet the growing demand for GRC, risk analytics, and specialist cybersecurity skills. 216 Technologies works through strategic partnerships and in-house development to deliver these solutions.

They have offices in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Atlanta, Georgia, USA. For future expansion, they are looking to service clients across the African continent, with an upcoming office opening in Nairobi, Kenya.

Board Chair

Cory Henry is a systems engineer and seasoned war veteran who graduated from West Point. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having consistently demonstrated a remarkable ability to bridge divides nd forge collaboration throughout his successful corporate career. He is assionate about creating human intelligence that amplifies creativity and rives exponential value.

CEO Africa

Vusi Vuma is a co-founder and the CEO of the Africa office. Vusi is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive experience in insights and analytics in   telecommunications, financial services, and public service sectors. His  other interests include location intelligence, fintech, entertainment, and  media.

Board Financial Services advisor

Chris Marathe, founder of EW&F Advisory, is a Financial Services advisor to the 216 Technologies board. With a background in accounting and experience in telecommunications, finance, FMCG, brand strategy, and analytics. He started his career in auditing with Coopers and Lybrand (now PWC) before moving into marketing and distribution at Rothmans International (now part of British American Tobacco).

Marathe's expertise spans various sectors across Africa, providing insights into governance, risk, compliance, and risk analytics, especially within the African financial services sector. He has led advisory teams on projects including M&A, brand valuations, licensing, IPOs, product structuring, and organisational restructuring for notable companies such as MTN, Britam (Kenya), Awash Bank (Ethiopia), Standard Chartered, ABSA, Nedbank, and others.

His deep knowledge of the financial services sector contributes valuable leadership to the 216 Technologies board.
